Memories of Murder is a first-hand account by Reginald "AJ" Oakley, who had the misfortune to be hanging out with Ray Lewis in Atlanta back when two guys were knifed to death. No one was convicted of the murders. Lewis plea-bargained in order to escape being charged with the killings. And, even though he was not convicted (the white suit he was wearing that night mysteriously disappeared--never to be found), he "settled" with the families of the murder victims in order to stay out of civil court. Filled with pages of evidentiary photos, police records and documentation, this book gives an insightful account into what happened in Atlanta, Ray Lewis' reaction (and attempt to implicate his 'friends' in the murders) and how the case played out, as viewed by one of the first-hand participants.
